Abstract

This study conducted a questionnaire survey against 700 beauty salon employees across the country in order to figure out for job stress factors and degree. Then, the study results found the followings: In terms of overall job stress, work limit was the highest, followed by conflict with customers, conflict with supervisor, peer conflict, physical environment and lack of skills. According to analysis on differences in job stress by demographic characteristics, statistically significant difference was found in lack of skills, conflict with supervisor, physical environment, conflict with customers and work limit depending on the region. In terms of job stress by job characteristics, nail art was the highest with 3.05, followed by hair(3.02), others(3.01), skin care(2.90) and makeup(2.88) with statistically significant difference (p<.001).
